The IT Lounge Gives Celebrities Survival Must-Haves for 2008 Toronto Film Festival

Market Wire, August, 2008

Twelve years of film festival experience has given NKPR the inside edge on what celebrities and media need to survive the exhilarating yet exhausting Toronto International Film Festival which runs from September 4th-13th. This year, the IT Lounge gifting suite will put that knowledge to work when it opens its doors from September 4th-10th, 2008 at the luxurious Windsor Arms Hotel. "IT" will provide a thoughtful collective of festival survival musts, including the Olay Definity collection for flawless red carpet faces, iconic yet comfortable Fila track suits for hotel room lounging, a custom CD of fresh sounds called IT Music from the IT Lounge created specially for the stars by Universal Music Canada, and casual diamond jewelry from The Right Hand Gal that is haute for both day and night happenings.

This year, the IT Lounge will also provide a survival room dedicated exclusively to media: the Grand & Toy Media Centre. Picture a modern office oasis that features a sophisticated and efficient workspace with high-tech computer workstations, a relaxing lounge with sofas and a gaming console, a fully loaded candy station and FIJI Water. Media can feel good about using this space as Grand & Toy showcases its eco-friendly products by using Greenguard certified furniture, recycled pens and paper, and energy-wise computers that go into sleep mode when idle. Check email, file stories, recharge and relax every day from 10am - 6pm, September 4th - 10th. Guests will also receive the environmentally sound Grand & Toy Media Survival Kit, which comes complete with smart tools and toys for the busy week. www.grandandtoy.com .

"After years of film festivals, we've seen celebrities go through a grueling schedule and we are thrilled to bring together this special collection of conveniences," says Natasha Koifman, NKPR president. "We haven't forgotten the media. Grand & Toy has created the perfect escape in its media centre and we can't wait to share it."

Give "IT" back

September is Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBST) month and the IT Lounge is eager to show its support once again. This year, the IT Lounge will feature a Wall of Heroes for celebrity visitors to sign and share who their hero is. Celebrities will also have the opportunity to donate gifts from the Lounge to assist in raising money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto programs and the Wall of Heroes will be donated for the Toronto branch to enjoy following the festival. www.bbbst.com .

"Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto is excited to be the charity recipient of the IT Lounge. The 2007 opportunity generated great awareness of our mentoring programs and services, and most importantly, our need for volunteers," says Carol Anne Ruscica, director of marketing and fund development at BBBST.

"We're very proud to once again be partnering with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto. Thanks to the support of the many celebrities that have come through the lounge, we have been able to lend a helping hand to this wonderful organization," says Koifman.
