RotoHog.com Signs Four Marquee Stars to Fantasy Football League Contracts
Market Wire, August, 2008
RotoHog.com, a leading fantasy sports operator and software developer for major brands and professional sports, announced today the signing of Brandon Roy, Chris Bosh, Daniel Puder and Christian Okoye. Fantasy football players can join any or all of the leagues at RotoHog.com and actually test their skills against the stars of the NBA, MMA and NFL. All the hosted leagues will be in the RotoHog Stock Exchange game format that allows for unlimited players in each league.
Brandon Roy, NBA All-Star on the Portland Trailblazers will host and play in the LG Edge Out Brandon Roy Fantasy Football League. Prizes include LG's new Edge TV and autographed Brandon Roy memorabilia.
Chris Bosh, NBA All-Star from the Toronto Raptors and U.S. Olympic Basketball team, will host and compete in the Chris Bosh Football Fantasy Max League. Winners get in on autographed memorabilia.
Daniel Puder, MMA fighter and winner of WWE's first-ever $1,000,000 Tough Enough Challenge, will host and compete in the Knockout League with the winner getting a personal training session with Puder himself.
Christian Okoye, the former All-Pro Running Back with the Kansas City Chiefs, will play in and host the Fantasy Nightmare Fantasy Football League, after his well-known moniker, "The Nigerian Nightmare." Okoye will also provide weekly video and written content for the site.
Other leagues include a Fathead® League and RotoHog Jersey League, both offering prizes to weekly winners.
The RotoHog Stock Exchange Fantasy Football game mixes the excitement of a stock market trading floor with traditional fantasy football gameplay. Fans buy and sell their favorite players to build their roster. They can raise their team value if they buy and sell the right players at the right time, but the scoring is only done on the field. Fantasy players start with a salary cap of $300 RotoHog Dollars to buy their team. The market is open now with players at IPO prices. The trading floor goes live on August 29th.
RotoHog.com is a product of Sports Composite DE, is privately held and based in Los Angeles, CA. Investors include Allen & Co, DFJ DragonFund, Mission Ventures and SCP Worldwide. For more information on RotoHog, or to sign up for league play, please visit www.RotoHog.com .
