Digital Influence Group Wins Inbound Marketing Excellence Award

Digital Influence Group is proud to announce they have been selected as a winner of the first annual Inbound Marketing Award for their work creating and promoting the Fanista "Burma: It Can't Wait" campaign.
The Inbound Marketing Awards recognize outstanding achievement and innovation in the use of inbound marketing techniques to help market a product, tool or their company. Judges selected the best and brightest campaigns based on their use of inbound marketing, business impact, and creativity. The award will be presented at the 2008 Inbound Marketing Summit to be held in Cambridge, MA on September 8, 2008.
Digital Influence Group worked with Fanista to create this campaign to support the US Campaign for Burma. Digital Influence Group developed a microsite for the campaign featuring imprisoned Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. Fanista filmed 50 web videos with entertainment and music celebrities describing the horrible situation in Burma and asking for public support. These videos were shared on the microsite and on a YouTube channel .
To expand awareness of this campaign, Digital Influence Group created an application in Facebook so people can donate money to support the relief efforts and spread the message to friends in their social network. In addition, aggressive social media outreach was conducted to bring this community to people across the web wherever conversations on the topic were occurring. The campaign generated support on the microsite, millions of video views and significant online conversation and mainstream media coverage.
