Puttin' on the Bliss(TM) Introduces Color Therapy Undies
Market Wire, September, 2008
Puttin' on the Bliss (TM), an apparel company committed to inspiring women to feel good and have fun, has introduced a new concept in underwear . Color Me Balanced (TM) brand undies are the first and only that are designed and packaged to provide a color therapy system for wearers.
The patent-pending concept was created by the company's President and founder, Leah Bruns. A certified color therapist , Leah wanted to help women gain the benefits of color therapy in a simple and fun way. So, she made it as easy as wearing your undies.
The line is sold as a collection of seven colors, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. "These rainbow colors are linked to the energy centers in the body," Leah explains. "Color is energy and each hue has a specific wavelength and frequency. Color therapy is a healing system based on using the energy from color to restore balance to the body, mind and spirit." Leah affirms that the undies work because we receive energy from the colors worn against our skin. Her recommendation is to rotate a different color each day of the week to revitalize and balance, referring to them as " Days of the Week undies -- for wellbeing."
Color therapy is a widely accepted holistic practice that is growing in popularity. Interest is so high that, according to a report from market research publisher Packaged Facts, Americans spent $26 million on personal light and color therapy devices in 2006 with continued growth expected in the double-digits. Recent accounts also illustrate an interest from celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony who hired a color therapist for their twins.
"Color is a natural and powerful source of energy that we too easily dismiss," Leah expresses. "In addition to being great fun, I hope this product will expand upon the awareness of color's importance to our personal health and happiness."
The seven pair collection is packaged in a ready-to-gift organza pouch. They are currently available in women's sizes small through X-large at select retailers and on the company's website www.puttinonthebliss.com
Puttin' on the Bliss donates a portion of the revenues from every online purchase to charity.
