Cedar Point Communications to Demo Voice Over WiMAX Services at WiMAX World 2008

Cedar Point Communications , a worldwide leader in integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) switching technologies for service providers and enterprise telecommunications operators, announced today its participation at WiMAX World 2008 , September 30 - October 2 in Chicago, IL.
At its booth 717, Cedar Point will showcase a variety of demonstrations featuring its SAFARI C3(TM) Multimedia Switching System . Cedar Point will feature a high definition voice over WiMAX demonstration. The solution can only be offered in a VoIP network providing customers with a higher level of voice quality than public switched telephone network systems. Cedar Point will also exhibit its new carrier-hosted self-service web portal that can be used to configure and administer VoIP calling features over WiMAX. Finally, Cedar Point will showcase voice and video surveillance over WiMAX equipment demonstration from its partner Tyco Electronics.
In addition, on Wednesday, October 1 at 5:00 p.m. Cedar Point's CTO, Mark Tubinis , will participate in the panel, "Value-Add Services (Residential & Business)." The panel will explore what value added services can be deployed cost-effectively, and how these differ in emerging and mature markets. Panelists will discuss what features subscribers, enterprises, or content distributors are willing to pay for.

It is being deployed for residential and business services by a diverse customer base that includes Cable System Operators, Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs), Wireless Operators and Universities.
