Missouri State University Receives Department of Homeland Security Funding for the Purchase and Installation of Pioneering's Safe-T-element(R) Cooking Technology

Pioneering Technology Corp. of Mississauga, Ontario (TSX VENTURE: PTE), ("Pioneering") was advised today by distributor University Electronics that Missouri State University (MSU) have been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) grant program for the purchase and installation of Pioneering Technology's Safe-T-element cooking technology.
The Fire Prevention and Safety Grants (FP&S) are part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) and are under the purview of the Grant Programs Directorate in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FP&S grants support projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards. The primary goal is to target high-risk populations and mitigate high incidences of death and injury.
September is Campus Fire Safety Month. Campus Fire Safety Month is a nationwide effort in the US to raise fire and life safety awareness on university and college campuses. According to the non-profit Center for Campus Fire Safety (CCFS) from January 2000 to present, there have been 94 students who have lost their lives in sixty-six separate campus related fires.
