ARC Wireless' Wireless Communications Solutions Division to Exhibit at WiMAX World 2008
Market Wire, October, 2008
ARC Wireless Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCW), Wireless Communications Solutions Division ("ARC Wireless"), will be exhibiting at the upcoming WiMAX World 2008 trade show in Chicago, IL at McCormick Place, Booth 330, October 1-2. At the show, ARC will display a wide range of WiMAX(TM) products including the ARC IES(TM) Generation II ("GEN II") Integrated Enclosure Solution, as well as the new ARC Pilot(TM) Integrated Enclosure Solution.
The new ARC Pilot(TM) is the latest enclosure solution addition to the ARC IES(TM), Integrated Enclosure Solution program and is designed to meet the highly price sensitive market sectors, both domestically and internationally. The ARC Pilot(TM) houses an internal antenna, which accommodates various frequencies from 900 MHz to 5.9 GHz and dual polarization, including WiMAX(TM) bands, and a radio board. The ARC Pilot(TM) accommodates larger radio boards than previous ARC enclosure products and the transparent cable access cover allows users to view the LED functionality lights to monitor the operation of the unit. ARC Wireless' engineers designed this patent pending product with a unique non-gasket design, while maintaining the industry standard IP-65 rating for weatherability. Installation is quick and easy as there are no feed-through connectors or CAT5 jumpers. This enclosure supports both internal and external antennas and the bracket system allows for easy orientation of the unit.
"We are very excited to introduce the ARC Pilot(TM)," said Todd Schafer, Vice President of Sales at ARC Wireless. "The addition of the ARC Pilot(TM) to our ARC IES(TM), Integrated Enclosure Solution program now allows us to offer our customers more options for lower priced CPEs and backhaul of information."
The ARC IES(TM) Generation II Integrated Enclosure Solution has a number of updates from the original ARC IES(TM) Integrated Enclosure Solution making it more user-friendly. The Gen II has a patent pending universal radio mounting feature with tamper proof plugs and feed-through(s). It is extremely reliable because it eliminates unnecessary electrical points of failure by bypassing the standard CAT5 jumper that connects the feed-through to the POE on the internal electronics. Also, getting to market for our customers is now easier than ever, as making radio and antenna changes is quick and easy. Gen II boasts an overall low cost as the installation time is greatly reduced. It is compatible with all of ARC's Integrated Antennas, including dual polarization, embedded, bolt-on and external stand-alone and makes for simple inventory management.
ARC Wireless' extensive antenna line includes 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 2.5 GHz, 3.5 GHz, 4.9 GHz and 5.8 GHz, dual polarization and dual band antennas. Specifically ARC Wireless' antennas at the 2.5 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands address the WiMAX(TM) bands internationally.
The complete ARC IES(TM) product line can be used in many broadband wireless applications. It is available through ARC's network of authorized distributors and re-sellers.
