Traffic Advisory - Los Angeles Department of Transportation Announces Century Boulevard Closures Near LAX on Thursday, Oct. 2, 4 - 7 PM

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) has announced westbound Century Boulevard leading to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be closed Thursday, Oct. 2, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. due to scheduled labor demonstrations.

Motorists are advised to avoid this area and to take alternate routes, including:

1.  Westbound Glenn Anderson Freeway (I-105) to northbound Sepulveda Blvd.
2.  Westbound Imperial Highway to northbound Sepulveda Blvd.
3.  Westbound La Tijera Blvd. to 96th Street to Skyway
4.  Southbound Sepulveda Blvd. to 96th Street to Skyway

Motorists exiting LAX on eastbound Century Blvd. will not be affected. However, motorists heading westbound to LAX on Century Blvd. will be diverted to northbound Aviation Blvd. to westbound Arbor Vitae Street to southbound Airport Blvd., to westbound Century Blvd. into the airport passenger terminal area.

Members of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union (Unite H.E.R.E. Local 11), along with other union supporters are scheduled to stage a demonstration/rally on the 5700 block of Century Boulevard.
