CVG, Inc. Awarded $1.2 Million Contract to Provide Portable Satellite Communications Kits to U.S. Air Force

CVG, Inc. was recently awarded a $1.2 million contract by the U.S. Air Force's Air Combat Command to provide CVG's CFK-100 Compact Flyaway Kits. The CFK-100 provides a secure satellite communications and encrypted networking solution within two carry-on-sized backpacks.
The CFK-100 includes an Explorer 700 BGAN terminal, a ruggedized laptop, a KOV-26 Talon Type 1 encryptor, removable red and black routers and an extra hard drive to allow users to meet red/black separation requirements. Also included is a scanner, a UPS supported by BB 2590 rechargeable lithium ion batteries, and additional accessories to support VoIP voice communications. For legacy secure networks, accommodations are provided for the storage of an STE telephone, as well as network connection via a KlasHopper PCMCIA card.
