Spring Surpasses Three Million Download Milestone on SourceForge; Five Million Total Downloads Worldwide

Spring is the leading enterprise Java application infrastructure for building and running Java applications with more than five million estimated total downloads worldwide across all download sources.

Spring has become central to enterprise Java architectures with more than 64 percent of enterprises using Spring, according to a BEA dev2dev survey. Spring 2.5, the current release of the popular Spring Framework, is on track to become the most downloaded version of Spring ever. SpringSource counts more than 500,000 unique visitors to its web properties each month, comprising more than 31,000 organizations using Spring.
