Awards for Supply Management Excellence to Be Presented at Aberdeen Group's Chief Procurement Officer's Summit

Aberdeen Group, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE: HHS), will reveal the winners of its industry achievement awards in global supply management at its 4th annual Chief Procurement Officer's (CPO) Summit on November 13-14, 2008 in San Francisco, CA. Aberdeen will present five companies with Global Supply Management Achievement Awards for excellence demonstrated in 5 specific areas. The nominees were selected solely based upon Aberdeen research over the past 12 months. The award categories are:
(1) Innovation in Technology -- granted to the enterprise that has
maximized leveraged technology solutions to solve pressing business
issues to positively impact company performance. 2008 Nominees: JC
Penney, Hospira Healthcare Corp, and The Ohio State University
Medical Center
(2) Executive Stewardship -- granted to the enterprise that has overcome
tremendous obstacles and achieved new performance heights as a
result of direct involvement and leadership from exceptional
executive management. 2008 Nominees: Raytheon Missile Systems Co and
Con-Way
(3) Process Excellence -- granted to the enterprise that has
demonstrated process ingenuity, agility, flexibility and scalability
to address evolving business requirements.
2008 Nominees: Verizon Service Organization and Becton Dickinson
(4) Business Evolution -- granted to the enterprise that has
demonstrated the ability to manage the flow of information across
internal and external functional practices to achieve demonstrable
business growth. 2008 Nominees: Air Transat and Wolverine Worldwide
(5) Performance Excellence -- granted to the enterprise that has
harnessed the performance impacts of value chain activities and
mastered methodologies for financial, operational, and
customer-centric performance excellence. 2008 Nominees: Panasonic
Avionics Corp, Burnham Institute for Medical Research, and Cisco
Previous winners in these categories have been organizations such as USPS, MetLife, Northrop Grumman, Goss International, Agilent Technologies, GE Healthcare, ExxonMobile, Boeing, BMW, P&G, BAE Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Fairchild Semiconductor and many others.
