Procurement Leaders From GE, SalesForce.com, Hertz, Xerox, and Other Companies Will Discuss Best-in-Class Strategies at Fourth Annual Chief Procurement Officer Summit
Market Wire, October, 2008
Aberdeen Group, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE: HHS), today announced the complete panel of industry thought-leaders who will present their Best-in-Class procurement strategies at the Fourth Annual Chief Procurement Officer ("CPO") Summit to be held in San Francisco on November 13th and 14th. This year's summit attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear from and network with global procurement executives in this two-day forum designed to foster learning and networking in an intimate environment framed by Aberdeen Group's objective research.
The world class roster of presenters include General William "Gus" Pagonis, Retired US Army General, Business Leadership Author, and World Renowned Supply Chain Expert, who will deliver a keynote presentation addressing business leadership strategies for procurement executives and Scott Singer, CPO of Rio Tinto, who will deliver a keynote presentation focused on "Mining the Full Value from Procurement." Attendees will also be in for a special treat as the Chief Procurement Officers from Xerox, National City Corp, and Con-way join a "Recession-Busters" panel discussion focused on the new strategies they are employing to combat the current economic environment and ensure value creation.
As in past CPO Summits, all presenters hold executive roles within their organizations and are tasked with ensuring efficient and effective procurement performance and with delivering strategic value across the enterprise. Each leader will present their unique strategies for success and place them in the context of the rising role that the CPO has gained within the enterprise. Also taking the stage will be Aberdeen's own team of global supply management analysts who will share recent and timely research findings, moderate CPO panel discussions, and facilitate the participation of the executive audience in lively discussions and "real-time" research.
