Regensburg, October 23, 2008 - Above average growth in net sales earns GENEART No. 11 ranking in Deloitte's "Technology Fast 50" award of the fastest growing technology companies in Germany. The 50 winners of the growth prize awarded by audit and business consulting service provider Deloitte presented themselves in Dusseldorf last night. Rankings are based on cumulative net sales growth in percent over the past five years. GENEART, publicly traded global leader in gene synthesis and specialist in the field of Synthetic Biology, lifted net sales growth by more than 800 percent to EUR 12.3 million over this period. Among life science companies GENEART ranked second in this competition.
"GENEART targeted investments in automation and process technologies over the past two years, which lifted production to a whole new level. Our capacities will increase fivefold by the end of 2010. These expanded capacities reflect the increased demand for synthetic genes, which emerged more and more from a niche to a mass product", stated Christian Ehl, CEO of GENEART AG.
