Wireless Matrix Board Appointee Brings Experience With Enterprise Software Companies & Early Stage Investing

Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX: WRX) announced today that Ms. Kirsten S. Morbeck has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors, effective as of Jan. 12.
Ms. Morbeck is Managing Director of Warm Spring Partners, a strategic venture firm. She has spent the past 12 years building and investing in early stage technology companies, with focus on three sectors: internet services, wireless and enterprise software. Her investment track record includes investments in seven companies that have gone public or been acquired including Tegic Communications (AOL/Nuance mergers), InterNAP and Aquantive (Microsoft merger).
Her venture experience includes senior positions with Mohr, Davidow Ventures (MDV), and two successful regional venture funds. She co-founded the Early Stage Investment Forum, served on the Boards of both the Northwest Entrepreneur Network and Alliance of Angels, and currently serves as a Strategic Adviser/Board Observer to three venture-backed companies.
Operationally, Ms. Morbeck co-founded a stealth location-based services company in 2007 that is backed by Shasta Ventures, MDV & Bezos Expeditions. In addition, she has worked for Microsoft and Lehman Brothers.
