Deep Blue Marine Inc. Moves "Capt N Tracy" to Dry Dock
Market Wire, January, 2009
Deep Blue Marine Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DPBE) announced today that the company's recovery vessel had been lifted out of the water and the crew is installing a prop wash deflector and performing annual maintenance to the hull.
The purpose of the deflector is to move clean surface water down to the murky depths so that the crew can continue to work in poor visibility that exists from time to time at the sites at which the company works.
Wilf Blum, president and CEO, had this to say: "With the addition of the blower, we should be able to increase our workable days by more than 50%. In 2008 we lost a lot of time due to poor viz at depth. The blower will actually be able to move clear surface water down to the working depths as deep as 50 feet and thus provide much better working conditions for the divers. This is a great step forward and a great benefit to our company."
