Spotlight on GPSI Products & Partnerships at Golf Shows
Market Wire, February, 2009
GPS Industries (OTCBB: GPSN), a leading international developer of global positioning system and Wi-Fi multimedia solutions for golf facilities, resorts and residential communities, recently participated in two major golf industry shows -- The PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando and The Golf Industry Show in New Orleans. GPS Industries has made a notable impression.
GPSI' show appearances unveiled the InforemerĀ® Management Solutions system HD/MAX, showcased its advanced technology product line and presented its highly respected management team amid broadcasts of alliances with super-star companies that improve and extend its portfolio of offerings and expand its impact on the golf market.
Announcements of a partnership with Club Car and a multi-year marketing communications agreement along with GPSI information about its advanced technology products, customer service and call center, management team, and alliances with Vision Perfect Software Inc., Thor Guard Inc. and creative financing have propelled them into the golf industry spotlight.
"Reaction to GPSI products, services, recent affiliations and alliances has been exhilarating. The industry, golf business people and the media have inundated us. They recognize something special is happening here and want to be part of it or share the story," said Kevin Carpenter, vice president of GPS Industries, a worldwide company headquartered in Sarasota, FL.
GPSI has joined the Club Car Solutions Network, an alliance of companies that help Club Car support its customers by providing products and services that complement the Club Car business.
The partnership makes GPSI the preferred provider of GPS systems for Club Car. In addition, Club Car and GPSI will collaborate on technology solutions that bring the benefits of GPS and Wi-Fi to Club Car customers around the world, according to Robert McElreath, vice president of global marketing for Club Car.
GPSI played a strategic role in the development of Guardian SVC, a GPS-based course management system that was introduced by Club Car at the PGA Show.
"GPSI combines the industry's strongest technical expertise with an experienced and highly respected management team," McElreath said. "We're very pleased to bring their capabilities to our customers."
"We look forward to a collaborative effort that increases revenues and efficiencies for Club Car customers worldwide," said David Chessler, CEO of GPSI.
GPSI is also proud to announce its multi-year involvement with the National Golf Course Owners Association, through sponsorship of its Annual Conference, its annual Multicourse owner leadership retreat and advertising in the NGCOA's flagship publication, Golf Business magazine. The NGCOA serves as a resource and advocate for golf course owners and operators throughout the U.S. and the world and its members include the industry's key decision makers of daily-fee, semi-private, private and resort courses.
"GPSI continues to foster the support and growth of the game. We are proud to have a multi-year marketing communications agreement and to be doing business with the NGCOA to reach owners and operators with our message and benefits," said Ben Porter, President and COO of GPSI.
"GPS Industries' partnership with Club Car, the NGCOA's Premier Partner, indicates a shared interest and commitment to growing the game of golf, an initiative that Club Car has been committed to for some time, and something which helps us all," said Mike Tinkey, Deputy CEO of the NGCOA.
