Yadkin Valley Financial and American Community Bancshares Reconvene Special Shareholders' Meetings

Yadkin Valley Financial (NASDAQ: YAVY) and American Community Bancshares (NASDAQ: ACBA) will reconvene their special meetings of shareholders to vote on a proposal to adopt their previously announced merger agreement. Details of the meetings are as follows:

Special Meeting of American Community Shareholders:
To Be Reconvened on April 16, 2009 at 10:00 am.
At 2593 West Roosevelt Boulevard, Monroe, North Carolina
On Thursday, April 2, 2009, Yadkin Valley will commence mailing of a supplement to the joint proxy statement/prospectus to shareholders of record which will contain important information about the merger with American Community Bancshares. Shareholders are urged to read the supplement to the joint proxy statement/prospectus when it becomes available. The supplement to the joint proxy statement/prospectus will also include the date, time and location of the special meetings, as well as full-year revised 2008 financial data for Yadkin Valley, and full-year 2008 financial data for American Community.
