InstallFree Partners With Belmont Software & Services to Provide Application Virtualization Link to CCM Software Systems and Services

Market Wire, May, 2009

InstallFree, Inc. , developer of platform solutions for virtualization of enterprise applications and desktop environments, today announced that Belmont Software & Services is now a Channel Reseller and Technology Solutions Partner. Belmont will advance channel sales and deliver service, support and training to InstallFree customers.

Belmont will extend their own service and system management solutions such as those based on BMC Service Automation products, to make possible end-to-end IT virtualization. In partnership with InstallFree, Belmont extended BMC Configuration Automation for Clients to enable advanced discovery and reporting of InstallFree desktop and application solutions products. This extension allows customers complete IT inventory services -- including virtual applications -- that can feed data to back-end service management systems, such as BMC Service Desk and Asset Management. This deep level of discovery assures a closed loop change and configuration management (CCM) process. The result is complete discovery for both physical and virtual application infrastructure and an environment free of non-inventoried virtual applications, which can pose risks to security (virus, Trojans) and compliance (audit trail, access control).

"We are pleased to partner with Belmont to deliver innovative IT strategies that take advantage of IntallFree's dynamic binding of both user and application configurations with the machine and extend to the back-end systems," said Yori Gabay, CEO at InstallFree. "Belmont also brings deep consulting experience in IT architecture and strategy across industries, including large-scale implementations with hundreds of thousands of nodes. Working together with Belmont, we can help customers move ahead with application virtualization and implement a truly secure mobile desktop."

Belmont principals have decades of combined professional IT services and training experience gained from working with Fortune 1000, government agencies, and SMB companies. In addition to their virtualization practice, Belmont specializes in BMC's Service Automation line, including Configuration Automation for Desktops (Marimba) and Servers (Bladelogic). Belmont also provides integration services and engineering for the Atrium CMDB and ITSM product families, and ITIL certified consultants for release and change management. Belmont is a BMC Education, Consulting and Technology Alliance Partner (TAP).

"We are excited to join with InstallFree as a channel resale partner, and offer our clients additional value and strategic options for their service management solutions," said Peter Hermann, founder and managing partner at Belmont Services & Software. "After decades of consulting in IT, it is refreshing to partner with InstallFree, the industry's first and only virtualization technology, to target both the machine and user. This is a vital step toward making The Universal Client a reality for our customers, helping them to bridge the gap between physical and virtual systems and improve their systems management, compliance and business continuity processes."

About InstallFree Solutions for The Universal Client

InstallFree has the industry's most advanced technology to achieve universal clients by bridging the gaps between the cloud, server-based computing and physical desktops. InstallFree's approach to application virtualization combines local and server compute power, granular control and dynamic binding of user and application configurations with machine. This solution provides a 'Locked Down' PC for IT and 'Freedom of Use' for the PC user.

The InstallFree Bridge product has expanded technical features and functions, including:

-- Self-provisioning, to provide end users with a high level of
flexibility while working on locked down machines.
-- The InstallFree Encapsulator is comprised of a set of tools used to
create, edit and test the different InstallFree Virtual Application (IFV)
components. This enables updates on the fly, allowing automated patches and
migration to newer versions without re-writing or re-packaging
    applications.
-- HTTP/HTTPS streaming download supports three modes of work with
virtual applications-on-demand (AODs): Online, offline and streaming.
HTTP/s can be used when working in offline mode. Downloading the local
machine to be available offline is the most common work mode. HTTP/s
streams block level application bits to be used online, offline, or
    incrementally on the endpoint.
-- Host Interconnectivity defines both the policies and the level of
connectivity and interoperability of virtual applications with the host OS
and other virtual applications, including clipboard control, local drive
access, access to native applications from virtual applications, and
presentation of native application file extensions in virtual applications.
This level of control supports the requirements for regulatory compliance
across industries, including The Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Credit Information (PCI), and the U.S.
Government Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) standard.
