FNC Creates Online Resource for HVCC Information
Market Wire, May, 2009
The Home Valuation Code of Conduct took effect on May 1, yet many U.S. mortgage lenders remain confused by the new regulations. To help, a repository of HVCC information is now available as an easily accessible public resource.
Mortgage technology company FNC Inc . has compiled audio files of its recent HVCC call briefings as well as a printable copy of the Code itself. The files can be reviewed and downloaded through the company's web site at http://www.fncinc.com/ClientAccess/HVCC_Briefing.aspx
Also included on the site are:
-- An update on the final terms of the Home Valuation Code of Conduct,
presented via conference call on Jan. 24 by FNC CEO Bill Rayburn, FNC Chief
Appraiser Kathy Coon, and Compliance Manager Rita Cauthen.
-- "FNC Solutions - Your Source for a Smooth Transition to HVCC
Compliance," presented via conference call on Feb. 24 by FNC's Vice
President Bob Dorsey and Jon Fisher, HVCC platform compliance lead.
-- National Association of Mortgage Brokers v. James Lockhart Case
(Dismissed)
-- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Home Valuation Code of Conduct FAQs
-- Home Valuation Code of Conduct
-- The Appraisal Institute's "Myths and Realities" document, which covers
the use of Appraisal Management Companies, appraiser competency, and
maintaining the internal appraisal function for sellers.
"We are pleased to be able to provide this service and we hope it will serve as a valuable resource for anyone interested in the HVCC," Cauthen said.
