COGITORE Resources Inc.: Thick High Grade Copper and Zinc Intercepts Conclude Scott Lake Winter Drilling Campaign
Market Wire, May, 2009
COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: WOO) is pleased to report a thick high grade volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) intercept at its Scott Lake project, located 20 kilometres west of the rail and road hub of Chibougamau, PQ (Figure 1: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Figure_1_Scott_Lake.JPG ). The last hole of the program, SC-40, cut a 27.4 metre interval of massive sulphides made up of a 9.3 metre interval of 2.5% copper, 7.9% zinc, 0.8g/t gold and 109.1g/t silver, which immediately follows an 8.7 metre interval of 0.2% copper, 24.7% zinc and 28.9g/t silver. The two intercepts are part of a 27.4 metre consecutive interval of massive sulphides with a weighted average of 1.2% copper, 13.4% zinc, 0.3 g/t gold and 58.6 g/t silver related to the West Lens. The West Lens is one of five known lenses to occur on the Company's wholly owned Scott Lake Property. A less well mineralized intercept of 5.5 metres of 2.6% zinc (including 5.2% zinc, 0.8g/t gold over 0.8 metres) located higher in SC-40 (408.0m to 413.5m) also provides confirmation that the Zinc Zone intersected in Hole SC-34 is a third 'stacked' mineralized horizon. The VMS intercept in hole SC-40 starts at a vertical depth of 430 metres, just a few metres higher than the West Lens intercept in SC-34 but located 30 metres north of SC-34 (Figure 2: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Figure_2_Scott_Lake.JPG). Internal layering in the massive sulphides is not well developed and core angles cannot be used to estimate true width. However, from the sketch on Figure 2 (http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Figure_2_Scott_Lake.JPG) it can be seen that the core length is very close to true width.
Weighted averages of assays from SC-40 are tabled below:

The West Lens massive sulphide intersection (1.6 metres) is cut abruptly by intrusive rocks of the Chibougamau Pluton, suggesting a thicker section of massive sulphides probably existed prior to the intrusion of the pluton, and that displaced massive sulphides may therefore be found in the area, including within the intrusive rocks.
Hole SC-38 did not hit any significant mineralization as prospective units were also cut off by late intrusive rocks of the Chibougamau Pluton.
