Robert Pirooz Joins Ventana Board

Ventana Gold Corp. (TSX: VEN) ("Ventana" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Pirooz to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mr. Pirooz is General Counsel for Pan American Silver, a leading silver producer with seven operating mines in Peru, Mexico and Bolivia. Prior to joining Pan American in 1998 Mr. Pirooz filled the role of Vice President and General Counsel for the BCR Group of Companies. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 1990 after earning a Juris Doctor of Law at the University of British Columbia and studying commerce at Dalhousie.
