NAB's Marc Gardner Featured in Green Sheet Quarterly's "Who's Who"
Market Wire, June, 2009
Marc Gardner, president of North American Bancard (NAB), was named to Green Sheet Quarterly's 2009 Who's Who. The magazine is the leading publication for the credit card processing industry.
Mr. Gardner was selected to this prestigious list for his entrepreneurial spirit and his vision in guiding North American Bancard from start-up to major player. Founded in 1992 by Gardner, the company processed more than $7 billion in transactions last year and now employs more than 300 people at its new corporate headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
"What brings people into this business is the desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial sales environment," Gardner remarked. To succeed, though, he advises that entrepreneurs "stay nimble" and surround themselves with excellent employees. "People make everything work," Gardner notes. He has followed his own advice by leading the industry with investments in new technology and new communication tools. These tools allow NAB's merchant-level salespeople to offer layers of products and services and to access real-time merchant data, thereby ensuring better service.
