Each "fred" enables real time 2Way video calls, thousands of satellite and cable channels, video on demand, DVR functionality, and live over the air digital HD tv.
The "fred" performs tasks generally done by several pieces of professional equipment costing tens of thousands of dollars. The "fred" brings these capabilities into the average home or office inexpensively. "This shipment marks the beginning of a new communications architecture for the home and office.
