North American CEO of Global Aerospace Power Addresses Town Hall
Market Wire, June, 2009
Ralph D. Crosby, Jr., Chairman and CEO of EADS North America , will address TOWN HALL Los Angeles on "Securing America's Global Position: Counterintuitive Lessons from US Aerospace," Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
Recently, Crosby said, "Our industry has consolidated at an amazing pace. And that consolidation has damaged the competitive dynamic of the traditional US aerospace and defense market. Consolidation requires that we re-think the definition of 'made in America.'"
EADS is one of the two largest aerospace and defense companies in the world and includes such notable brands as Airbus and Eurocopter. In 2008, EADS generated revenues of 43.3 billion Euros (more than $60 billion). EADS North America, along with its parent company, annually contributes more than $11 billion to the US economy and supports 200,000 American jobs. Created in 2003, EADS North America is located in 17 states in the commercial, homeland security, aerospace and defense markets.
Crosby began his career in 1981 at Northrop Grumman, where he held numerous positions including Executive Director of the company's Washington office. In 1996, he became General Manager of its Commercial Aircraft Division and was General Manager of the B-2 Division. Prior to assuming his current position in 2002, Crosby was president of the Integrated Systems Sector of Northrop Grumman Corporation.
