Valos Promotes From Within and Hires Fresh Talent

Valos, a CommonHealth business unit created to provide strategic marketing services to improve patient access to pharmaceutical brands competing in managed markets, today announced one promotion and six new hires.

Promotion
Suyen Segura has been promoted to senior account executive from her previous position as program manager. In her new post, Ms. Segura will oversee the daily activities for her assigned accounts, anticipating and managing her clients' needs. Ms. Segura will also assist in the strategic development of tactical concepts and contribute to new business opportunities and marketing plans. Ms. Segura has been with the CommonHealth organization for more than three years.
New Hires
Entering Valos as senior vice president, enterprise lead, Stephen LaMond will locally manage the unit's West Coast-based biotechnology accounts. He will also be responsible for acquiring new business from West Coast biotechnology manufacturers, expanding Valos' resource pool and building upon client offerings. Immediately prior to joining the group, Mr. LaMond was employed as a senior marketing director at Nektar Therapeutics, a biotechnology company located in the San Francisco Bay area of California.
Diana Angione joins Valos as a senior editor. She will be responsible for editing, proofreading and fact-checking manuscripts and layouts for her assigned projects. Previously, Ms. Angione worked as a copyeditor at Merck & Co., Inc., a global pharmaceutical company located in Whitehouse Station.
Karla Dougherty comes to Valos as a senior copywriter, responsible for overseeing, conceptualizing, reviewing and writing copy on projects for her brand accounts. Most recently, Ms. Dougherty served as a copy supervisor at Torre Lazur Managed Markets, a healthcare agency in Parsippany. She is also the author of 45 published books in various therapeutic categories.
Dana Meisberger, Catherine Fallone and Scott Herget all join Valos as traffic coordinators. They will route jobs through the agency from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Before signing on with Valos, Ms. Meisberger was employed as an account manager at PromptCare Home Infusion, a provider of infusion therapy, respiratory therapy services and home medical equipment in Clark; Ms. Fallone was a client representative at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in Basking Ridge; and Mr. Herget, having graduated from Montclair University with a bachelor's degree in communication studies, interned in the sponsorship department with the New Jersey Nets.
