Wood, Audrey THE NAPPING HOUSE. Il. by Don Wood. ISBN 0-15-2-5080-9. San Diego, CA: Harcourt Children's Books, 2004. 32 pp. $17.95. This is a rerelease of a classic bedtime story. Don Wood begins the illustrations with rain, quiet colors, and tired furniture, perfectly capturing the peacefulness of sleep. Soon enough, the verse gains momentum until the entire collection of people and creatures are awake and ready for fun. The short accompanying CD makes this edition unique as children will enjoy following along in the book with the reading of the story. Several bedtime songs follow the reading, including a singing of the story. Ages 3-7. Reviewed by Isabel Killoran, York University, Toronto, ON
