At last, a realistic look at the journey a family goes through when mom has cancer-the joys, the fears, and the facts, shared from the children's perspective. The focus on "we" captivated this reviewer. "Mom got cancer . . . [but] we made it through the operation . . . through chemotherapy . . . mom going bald. We all did it together." A child reading this will be reassured that he or she is not alone. Hogan does a magnificent job capturing in photos the mixed emotions of the family and friends as they experience this journey.
