Hartford offers heavy metal, screen printer programs

Rough Notes, Sep 2000

The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., introduced a program for heavy metal industries (foundries, heat treating contractors, and metal finishing companies) that provides workers compensation, commercial liability, and product liability coverages. The program also offers a comprehensive property package, as well as manufacturers errors and omissions and product recall expense coverages and worldwide coverage. The program is available in the lower 48 contiguous United States.

In partnership with The Screenprinting and Graphics Imaging Association International (SGIA), The Hartford is offering a program for screen printing and graphic imaging firms. The core of the program is the insurer's businessowners policy, SPECTRUM, which includes business interruption, equipment breakdown, and employment practices liability, as well as a package of industry-tailored coverages that includes computers and media, employee dishonesty, and property of others in custody and transit. Optional printers errors and omissions is available.

The SGIA offers safety and loss prevention services to its members, and the program also features a safety group dividend plan.
