Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedCOMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD FOR INDEPENDENT INSURANCE AGENTS
Rough Notes, Dec 2004
Less than 30 days left to nominate a worthy candidate
Independent insurance agents are known for offering a wide variety of business and personal insurance as well as superior claims service in which "the customer always comes first."
This is, however, only part of the corporate responsibility that agents assume in their commitment to their agencies. Most agents also possess a sense of civic responsibility as well.
Special agents and agencies who give of their time in addition to their finances are being sought for The Rough Notes Company's 2005 Community Service Award for Independent Insurance Agents. Rough Notes' dedication to philanthropy stems from its belief that agents have a responsibility to make sure that their communities are strong, vibrant and stable.

Rough Notes has been privileged to honor many insurance agents and agencies who have met the challenge of philanthropy in their local communities. These winners are committed to providing for the underprivileged and less fortunate.
You probably know of agents or agencies in your area that are performing extraordinary philanthropic deeds. Now is the time to nominate them! Conversely, if you are performing extraordinary philanthropic deeds, please nominate yourself or your own agency. Time is limited, so act promptly. Nomination form (found on p. 52) and documentation must be received at The Rough Notes Company by December 31, 2004.
Winners, who will be notified in late January 2005, will be honored at an awards dinner and celebration to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, in early 2005. The awards dinner will take place in conjunction with the 16th annual Rough Notes magazine Marketing Agency of the Year celebration. The following morning, all winners will be the guests of the Rough Notes magazine staff at an insurance industry roundtable and breakfast.
The winning charity will receive a check in the amount of $5,000, and each honorable mention charity will receive $1,500 in the name of the winning agents or agencies. All winners will receive a commemorative eagle statue for their service to the less fortunate and underprivileged. The April issue of Rough Notes magazine will highlight all of the winning philanthropic endeavors performed by the 2005 winners.
Remember, you may nominate yourself, your agency or another deserving licensed insurance professional. Thank you for taking time to help us identify, recognize and honor the very best agents and agencies for their local philanthropic efforts.
