CAD/CAM supplier PTC (Needham, MA) announced it has received a $1 million order for consuiting and education services from the US Department of Energy's Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. Under the agreement, the PTC services are to be provided to Lawrence Livermore Lab through Dec. 31, 2003. The lab uses PTC's PLM solutions for projects including the National Ignition Facility, a 192-beam laser facility.
Delmia Corp. (Auburn Hills, MI), a subsidiary of Dassault Systemes (Paris), announced it has signed an agreement with automotive supplier Bosch (Stuttgart, Germany) under which Bosch will use Delmia's processplanning solutions to meet requirements outlined for the digital factory initiative of DaimlerChrysler AG (Stuttgart, Germany). Under the agreement, Bosch will use Delmia's Process Engineer in Bosch's recently announced Cooperative Engineering Program (COPE) for computer-aided production planning in parallel with product development.
