Allied Tube & Conduit (Harvey, IL) a manufacturer of electrical and metal products, formed the Allied Tube & Conduit Construction Div. to better serve the commercial construction market. This includes coldformed structural and non-load-bearing steel framing products and accessories and tubular framing systems.

Ametek (Paoli, PA) formed a new Ultra Precision Technologies Div. that brings together its Taylor Hobson Div. with two more recently acquired businesses: Solartron Metrology and Precitech. Taylor Hobson, based in Leicester, England, makes precision measurement instruments. Solartron Metrology, also located in the UK, manufactures digital and analog instruments. Precitech is a US manufacturer of ultra-precision machining systems. Campat Machine Tool Inc. (Piano, TX) will expand distributorship of the Leadwell line of machine tools to include exclusive rights to the Canadian marketplace. Leadwell produces CNC turning centers, tap and drill centers, VMCs, and CNC bridge mills.

Maus S.p.A, an Italian manufacturer of foundry and heavy metalworking machinery, opened a North American branch, Maus USA (Calhoun, GA). The new branch will serve customers with design and application engineering assistance, and sales and service personnel on staff.

Colfax Corp. (Richmond, VA) acquired Lubrication Systems Co. (LSC, Houston). LSC is a provider of centralized oil-mist lubrication and lube-oil purification systems including the LubriMist oil-mist systems and Thermojet oil-purification systems.

Sandvik Tooling (Fairlawn, NJ) acquired Diamond Innovations Inc. (Worthington, OH) a developer of synthetic diamond and CBN products for such industrial applications as machining, oil and gas drilling, grinding, rock drilling, and wire drawing.

Zoller (Ann Arbor, MI), a manufacturer of tool presetting and measuring equipment, will open a new office in Mississauga, ON. The 1000 ft2 (93 m2) facility will provide local sales, support, and service.

JAI Inc., (San Jose, CA), a manufacturer of high-performance industrial cameras, signed an agreement with IstVision Inc. (Andover, MA) to act as a channel distributor for JAI's full line of industrial camera products throughout the US and Eastern Canada. IstVision specializes in automated imaging.

Dimension 3D Printing Group (Minneapolis) opened a new office in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to Japan, the new office will support Dimension's market reach in Australia and Korea. The facility will help the company serve the growing market for 3D printing technology.
