ORDERS AND DELIVERIES

International Paper has ordered a suction couch roll from Sandusky for its recycled printing paper machine atTiconderoga, N.Y.

CMPC Celulosa S.A. chose Andritz to supply a fiberline, recovery boiler, and white liquor production plant for the new Santa Fe Line 2 Pulp Project in Chile.

Voith Paper has been selected to supply a production line to an undisclosed mill in Jiangsu Province in China.

Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. has ordered a stock cleaning system from Kadant Black Clawson Inc. for the coarse screening loop in the Mason, Ohio, mill's existing system.

LABOR

About 100 DuPont Chemical Co. workers, also members of the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy Workers Union showed up at a rally in Wilmington, Del., to support union employees of the DuPont Chemical Co. The workers have been working under an expired contract since June 1, 2004.

MERGERS/ACQUISITIONS

L&S Electric has acquired Antec Motor Services to expand rotating apparatus repair and to enhance the services available to Minnesota manufacturers.

Information Handling Services Inc. (IHS) has acguired lntermat Inc. The lntermat customer service and product development operations will continue as lntermat Solutions, and IHS will sell lntermat Solutions products.

PRICING

BASF has increased its prices in the U.S. and Canada for all Styronal carboxylated styrenebutadiene, Basonal multi-monomer, and Acronal styrène acrylic emulsion polymer paper coating binders by $0.08/dry l.

Degussa has announced off-list price increases for hydrogen peroxide of $0.05/lb in the U.S. and Mexico and C$150/tonne in Canada.

Reichhold is increasing list and off-list prices on all acrylic powder coating resins sold in North America by $0.10/lb.

Dow Emulsion polymers announced a $0.13/lb increase for styrene/butadiene latex, styrene acrylate latex, and solid plastic pigment products sold in the U.S. and Canada. The company is also increasing U.S. off-list prices of diaphragm grades of caustic soda by $45/dry short ton and membrane grades by $55/dry short ton.

DuPont Titanium Technologies announced a $0.06/lb price increase for all titanium dioxide grades sold in North America. Prices will increase by $0.08/lb in Canada.
