Freedom -- The Sound of Music starring Julie Andrews
Policy Review, Fall 1994 by Smith, Michael
Villa von Trapp is a pretty grim place until the arrival of Sister Maria, a renegade nun and sometime-songstress who is hired to care for the motherless von Trapp brood. The hills come alive: soon the family is singing, dancing, and running from the Nazis; Hitler wants their Austrian-baron dad in his army.
A great love story with lots of laughter, singing, suspense, singing, drama, singing, and ultimately an escape to freedom across the Alps. A classic musical.
