Character is biig ...

Teaching Pre K-8, Apr 2000 by Broderick, Patricia, Raymond, Allen

A soft month with an underlying rhythm that says the end of this school year is in sight. You hope for so much for all of your students. We've found some items we think can help enrich these last few weeks for the kids. . . and for you.

Character is Biiig. . . at McDonald Publishing Company, especially with their new Colossal Character Poster series. Designed for upper elementary and middle grades, these posters are over 5 1/2 feet tall. We received the Einstein poster for review. There are also posters of Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Mark Twain and Shakespeare. The sets include a biography and suggested activities.

These are reproductions of beautifully painted portraits and are so impressive, they won't be overlooked by any students. Really nice way to create the setting for debate and discussion. We feel that these posters have a wider range than just upper and middle grades. Just $7.95 each (plus s/h if you buy from McDonald) at your local school supply store.
