Founded in 1998 by Dori and Jeff Wolfe, GroSolar offers consulting, wholesale and retail sales installation and service for customers and dealers throughout the east coast. GroSolar's products, solar energy solutions are pre-engineered photovoltaic (PV) and solar hot water (SHW) systems, consisting of arrays of SHW panels and/or PV panels with utility-connecting technology, mounted on rooftops or on the ground.

Best Practice: Employees can request telecommuniting hours where it fits in with their job duties and requirements. In addition, we have several "satelite" offices which offer a home-based office environment for outside sales employees who must travel to transact company business. GroSolar was the 2005 winner of the Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility Terry Ehrich Small Company Award for Excellence in Socially Responsible Business. We believe in leading by example- we are powered by renewable energy systems; we offer our employees RE systems at 10% above cost; we pay our employees livable wages; we have donated two systems to a VT affordable housing organization Twins Pines; we have donated the labor to install a system on a Habitat for Humanity home in Albany, NY; we participated as a company in Green-Up day.
