Collectible tables
Southern Living, May 2000 by Hamilton, Julia
Consider making these three tables from Southern Living apart of your own furniture collection.
Imagine being asked to help develop a wonderful new furniture collection. That's the
challenge-and the privilege-that came my way three years ago, when Southern Living asked that I represent you, our readers, during the development of the Southern Living Collection with Lexington Furniture Industries. This has been one of the most exciting projects I've worked on, and today our collection of wooden and upholstered pieces is featured in stores nationwide.
Accompanying designers from Lexington to cities and towns throughout the South, we researched fine furniture in private homes, antiques shops, and museums. Classic English and French designs form the core of the collection, but always with a touch of Southern style. Some of the most versatile pieces are the three tables featured here.
