SPREAD � cup cheese sauce evenly in a lightly greased 13- � 9-inch baking dish. Layer half of potatoes over sauce; top with half of remaining cheese sauce. Repeat with remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.

BAKE at 325�, covered, 1� to 2 hours.

STIR together breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan cheese; spread evenly over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, 20 to 30 more minutes or until potatoes are tender. DELLA TAYLOR

Bing Cherry-andCranberry Salad

MAKES 10 TO 12 SERVINGS

PREP: 15 MlN., COOK: 5 MlN., CHILL: 8 HRS.

This salad adds color and sweet-tart flavor.

2 � cups water

3 (3-ounce) packages black cherryflavored gelatin

2 cups cola soft drink

1 (16-ounce) can whole-berry cranberry sauce

1 (15-ounce) can pitted Bing cherries, drained and quartered

2 cups chopped pecans, toasted

BRING 2 � cups water to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat; remove from heat. Add gelatin, stirring 2 minutes or until gelatin dissolves.

STIR cola, cranberry sauce, cherries, and chopped pecans into gelatin mixture; pour into a lightly greased 12-cup ring mold. Cover and chill 8 hours or until firm.

UNMOLD congealed salad onto a serving platter. KAREN TORRES
