Anytime Smoothie
Southern Living, Mar 2007 by Brake, Wendy
Here is a yummy snack to feel good about.
This great-tasting pick-me-up is packed with vitamins and tastes as rich as a milk shake. Blend one fruit or several with frozen yogurt. Don't forget the orange juice and banana; they add extra sweetness.
Morning Energizer Smoothie
MAKES 3 TO 4 SERVINGS
PREP: 10 MIN.
As bananas ripen and brown, they actually become sweeter. Instead of throwing them away, slice and place in a zip-top plastic freezer bag. Simply toss the frozen slices directly into the blender.
1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
¾ cup orange juice
¾ cup fresh pineapple chunks
¾ cup sliced fresh strawberries
¾ cup fresh raspberries
1 large banana, sliced
1. Process all ingredients in a blender until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides as needed. Serve immediately. WENDY BRAKE

Ready When You Are
You might not have to do any grocery shopping for this delicious treat. Check your freezer, fridge, and pantry first. You can make a smoothie with virtually any of your favorite fruits, including frozen, bottled, and canned produce.
