Shop And Dine

Discover a purchasing paradise as well as a great lunch in Louisville, Kentucky.
Shopping makes me hungry. So I can think of nothing better than finding a place that fills both needs/wants, and that place is The Louisville Antique Mall.
I was dazzled by the loose silver plate flatware, the Waterford crystal, and the seemingly endless sets of fine china for sale. Pottery, art glass, and jewelry gleamed. I wandered among pieces of mahogany furniture and shelves filled with books.
On the second floor, The Café welcomes famished shoppers. I ordered a combo with half a chicken salad sandwich, soup, and pasta salad ($7.45). A combo comes with a huge cookie, but my eye had already spied the Chocolate Tuxedo cake ($4.25). It was exquisite-light with just the right amount of chocolate. -WANDA MCKINNEY
