Namibia: International study on domestic violence

Off Our Backs, Jan 1999

A major international survey on domestic violence funded by the World Health Organization will try to get an estimate on the prevalence of domestic violence worldwide. The survey will focus on seven countries. Competition to be a part of the study has been fierce.

Namibia was chosen as one of two African countries to be included in the study. The study will also include two Latin American, one European, and two Asian countries.
