Blast from the past

Off Our Backs, May/Jun 2003 by Sheklow, Sally

I am still resisting the patriarchy. After college I worked for seven years in a feminist natural foods trucking collective and then seven years at Oregon's Feminist Women's Health Center. I now support myself writing and teaching. My "Living Out" column appears in queer, feminist and alternative publications internationally.

I perform comedy with WYMPROV!, the award-winning all-lesbian improv troupe. I teach queer and feminist issues at Portland State University and creative writing at Lane Community College. My partner of fifteen years and I were the first (and still only) same-sex couple to be married in our synagogue. I live to rock the world.
