Concept Technical Sales & Crossland Machinery Join Forces to Offer Mazak Line
Mid-America Commerce & Industry, Aug 01, 2004
Concept Technical Sales and Crossland Machinery, both in Kansas City, have joined forces to promote and sell Mazak machine tools.
The Mazak CNC machine tool line includes: lathes, turning centers, vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, multi-tasking machine tools (turning and milling), double column machining centers and palletized systems.
Concept Technical Sales, headed up by Paul Domurat, has offered the Mazak line in western Missouri and Kansas since 1989.
Domurat was looking to increase Concept's presence in the area, while Crossland Machinery, led by George Crossland, was looking for a high-quality machining line to complete its offerings.
"This is a situation where two well-established machine tool distributors are filling each other's needs," stated Domurat, a 28-year industry veteran.
Crossland Machinery will sell Mazak equipment through Concept Technical Sales.
"One's rarely given the opportunity to join the world's largest builder of CNC lathes and machining centers," noted George Crossland, a 27year industry veteran.
Crossland Machinery, which also offers fabricating equipment, EDMs, waterjets and other equipment, also has staff in Springfield, Missouri and Wichita, Kansas that will offer the Mazak line. Other branches of the 40-year-old company are in Omaha and Tulsa.
Both Crossland and Domurat are involved with the American Machine Tool Distributors Association (AMTDA), with Paul currently on the national board and George serving as a national director in the past.
"The new equipment being offered by Mazak that incorporates multitasking and the latest in programing, can really impact a customer's efficiency and accuracy," commented Domurat. He also pointed out that several Nexus machine tool models are produced in Kentucky.
