Hartwig, Inc. Joins With PD Browne in Texas: Dallas Facility Will Be 5th Technology Center

Machine tool distributors PD Browne Machine Tools, Inc. (PDB), Dallas, Texas and Hartwig, Inc. St. Louis, Missouri, have joined forces as of September 1st.
PDB will be a division of Hartwig. It will become Hartwig's fifth technology center in the Midwest.
PDB, founded in 1943, serves the northern half of Texas. Its 17 staff members are led by Jay Jones and his son, Brian Jones.
Hartwig, Inc., founded in 1961, already has technology centers in St. Louis, Kansas City, Wichita, and Broken Arrow (Oklahoma).
The Dallas facility will provide local service, application and parts support. Production-ready and turnkey setups will also be offered.
John Hartwig, a 20-year veteran of the metalworking industry, will be responsible for the St. Louis and Dallas operations.
Greg Kinney, a 17-year veteran, will move to Dallas to head up the operation. He had been in charge of Mega Fabrication, Inc. (MegaFab), Hutchinson, Kansas, has purchased W.A. Whitney Company.
Whitney, known as "The leader in Plate Technology", is located in Rockford, Illinois and will continue its operations there.
Whitney offers a wide range of products for metal fabricators, including punching/plasma-cutting combination machines and laser cutting machines.
Other products will be marketed by both Whitney and Piranha under the "PRO-Series" label, including Whitney's lines
