Whitney Merges with Piranha/Bertsch

Mega Fabrication, Inc. (MegaFab), Hutchinson, Kansas, has purchased W.A. Whitney Company.
Whitney, known as "The leader in Plate Technology", is located in Rockford, Illinois and will continue its operations there.
Whitney offers a wide range of products for metal fabricators, including punching/plasma-cutting combination machines and laser cutting machines.
Other products will be marketed by both Whitney and Piranha under the "PRO-Series" label, including Whitney's lines of portable punch presses, CNC fabricators and ADVANTAGE and STORM plasma cutting machines.
MegaFab also owns the Piranha (ironworkers, press brakes and shears) and Bertsch (plate bending and section rolls) lines.
The Whitney/Piranha/Bertsch team plans an aggressive approach to marketing, distribution and product development in order to maximize the benefits associated with the merger of these U.S. companies.
Future product development will include a line of Whitney Multiaxis CNC press brakes.
