Meet the AAA-CPA Staff

Nicole M. Emard, CMP
Executive Director
Nicole is responsible for the daily operations, meetings and education of the Association. She has over 8 years of experience in association management with expertise in meeting and event planning, educational programs, board and committee relations, membership, communications, public relations, and publications. She has been with the AAA-CPA since May of 2006. Prior to the AAA-CPA, Nicole served as Director of Public Relations for the Lewis Law Firm in DC where she was responsible for client relations and marketing. She has also held previous positions at the Fairfax (VA) and American Bar Associations. At both these offices she was charged with assisting in acquiring new members, logistics of the meetings and working with various committees. Nicole is a graduate of George Mason University with a BA in Communications and has earned the Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation. She is a member of both the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (PMPI) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). She currently holds a Board position with PMPI and will serve on their Executive Committee next year. Tabitha Truscott
Chapter & Office Administrator
Tabitha was hired in September as a part-time Administrative Assistant. In February she came onboard full time as the Chapter & Office Administrator. Tabitha is the first person our members speak to when calling the office and the "go to" person for all questions related to the AAA-CPA. She handles all Chapter Meetings and Administration and assists in all other areas within the office. She recently moved to the Northern Virginia area from Houston, Texas where she worked for the YMCA of Greater Houston, Chase Bank and a Consulting Firm. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. She is the proud parent of one son in high school, Julian and an avid shopper. Sue Pollock
Membership & Meeting Coordinator
Sue Pollock grew up in the Tampa, Florida area where she earned her Associates degree from Hillsborough Community College in 1999. She then went on to the University of Northern Iowa, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Teaching. While attending UNI she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity and coached gymnastics at Blackhawk Gymnastics, a private club. She is a former gymnast with over 11 years experience and has been coaching for the past 12 years. In March of 2003 she was recruited and moved to the Northern Virginia area by Capital Gymnastics National Training Center to teach in their Ashburn and Burke facilities. In October of 2005 Sue began working for the AAA-CPA helping to recruit new members. She now handles all membership inquiries and assists in the coordination of the National and Regional Meetings. She currently works Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Sue can be reached via email at spollock@attorney-cpa.com.
Stacey Kocan-McCormick
Recruitment Coordinator
Stacey is the latest member to join the AAA-CPA staff as the part time Recruitment Coordinator responsible for working with our Membership Growth Chair, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Chapter Leadership and National Office to support the strategic direction and management of membership recruitment. She maintains the centralized prospect database (which currently stands at over 1OK), produces customized prospect lists and develops scripts and email blasts for members use. Working with each member and leader, the Recruitment Coordinator is able to add new prospects to the centralized database, and update existing prospect contact information all the while helping to strengthen member and Chapter involvement. Stacey received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and her MBA from Orlando College in Florida.
