ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Joseph C. Andraski is vice president for the Sales & Integrated Logistics Company, a subsidiary of Nabisco, Inc. He was appointed to this position in 1988 after having served in various managerial capacities since starting with the company in 1974. Mr. Andraski has been active in a number of food industry initiatives and currently is a member of the best practices and technology committee of Efficient Consumer Response.

Robert A. Novack is associate professor of business logistics at Pennsylvania State University. He earned his B.S. and M.B.A. from Penn State and his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee. His current research interests include the impact of quality and control in logistics, the use of policy capturing techniques to assess judgmental consistencies of logistics executives, the identification and quantification of logistics, and the development of logistics theory.
