CNY Business Journal (1996+), Apr 06, 2007
SALINA-Fralo Plastech Manufacturing, LLC, a - producer of onsite waste-treatment products and accessories, announced that it has sold all its assets to Roth Global Plastics, Inc., a subsidiary of Roth Industries North America, Inc. and sister company of Roth Industries, Inc. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Roth Industries, Inc. says it is known for its double-wall oil-storage tanks, radiant heating, and PEX-c plumbing systems. Roth has been in the North American market for over 10 years.
"This acquisition is in line with the Roth Group's overall strategic planning of concentrating more toward environmentally friendly and energy saving technologies and products" states Manfred Roth, the owner of the Roth Group of companies.
Joseph Brown, VP of sales and marketing for Fralo, stated, "The current manufacturing and administrative facilities will remain in Syracuse ... as this will be the main headquarters of Roth Global Plastics, Inc."
In addition, the Roth Group says it will retain all Fralo sales management and manufacturer reps in the field and will continue business as usual producing tanks and accessories. "Our wholesale distributors should not experience any changes in the way they do business with Fralo ...," said Brown.
Fralo's manufacturing and administrative facility in the Salina Industrial Park encompasses about 100,000 square feet and currently employs 32.
Fralo Plastech Manufacturing was incorporated in February 2002 by founder and CEO, Francis Lombardi 11, according to the company's Web site. A native of Syracuse, Lombardi graduated from Phillips Academy Andover and Syracuse University's School of Arts and Sciences.
The Lombardi family has manufactured products in the tank and pipe industry for three generations, the site says. While transitioning from the steel industry to plastics, Lombardi selected the Syracuse area to take advantage of the New York State Empire Zone and Federal Empowerment Zone initiatives, as well as the area's labor and infrastructure resources, the Fralo Web site says.
Fralo Plastech Manufacturing says it is the owneroperator of the world's largest blow-mold machine and a provider of blow-mold technology for the onsite wastetreatment industry. Products include polyethylene septic, holding, potable water tanks, risers, and other onsite treatment accessories.
