Applicants must pass an approved Class II flight physical and accession is contingent upon progression to a readiness level 1 skill proficiency. An applicant must be able to complete 20 years of federal service by age 62.

USAR Woman Line Officer Gets Star. Brig. Gen. B. Sue Dueitt of the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) has become the first woman reserve component "officer of the line" promoted to brigadier general. Previously, the only women to achieve general officer rank in the reserve components were in the Army Nurse Corps.

She has served in a variety of command and staff positions in the Army Reserve, including assistant division commander of the 80th Division (Training) at Richmond, Va.
