Wiley publishes 24-volume reference

Electrical Apparatus, Jun 1999

The Wiley Encyclopedia of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 24 volumes containing 1,450 articles on electrical and electronics technology, was published in March by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 605 Third Ave., New York, N.Y. 10158. The articles in the encyclopedia were written by experts in the particular topic, "representing the latest advances and findings in their fields," according to the publisher. Each article has been reviewed by at least two peers and includes references to the current literature, as well as to other articles in the encyclopedia.

Wiley is also making an electronic version of the encyclopedia available on the Internet at www.wiley.com/ee/engineering. In addition to including everything in the printed version, the Web version includes a keyword search engine linked to all 24 volumes. "Plans are in place," Wiley notes, "to enhance the Web version with engineering applications and programs, as well as animation." The encyclopedia is $7,995. Logging onto the Web site is free.
