Refrigeration engineers to discuss air quality

Indoor air quality will be discussed at the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, the New England States Association, and Tecumseh Products Company seminar entitled "Indoor Air Quality: Beyond the Basics Including Mold Remediation" April 4-5 in Northampton, Mass. RSES is also now selling User's Manual for ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 15-2001 Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems.

The manual includes examples and illustrations of accepted industry methods, in addition to explanations of and supporting references for formulas in the standard.

EASA chapter officers to meet for training

Chapter officers of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association will convene for a training program chaired by EASA vice chairman Les Parsons on March 14-15 in St. Louis.

Training topics will include leadership, public speaking, parliamentary procedure, roles of officers, presentations skills, and time management skills. The training program is held every two years. In 2001, forty-five chapter officers attended training.

"We're still receiving registrations," said EASA communications manager Randy Joslin. "We're having representatives from Great Britain, New Zealand, and Canada in addition to the U.S."

AEE trade mission in China and Southeast Asia

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) has launched a business development trade mission program in conjunction with several Asian companies June 14-29.

Larry Good, who serves as the delegation leader, developed the program, which includes networking opportunities with local utilities, government representatives, and companies seeking U.S. technologies.

The price per person sharing accommodations is $3,500. The single room supplement is $690. Contact AEE, (770) 4475083.

ASC offers online training

Online training in adhesion science is available through the Adhesive and Sealant Council, Inc., and the Center for Adhesive and Sealant Science. The introductorylevel course is offered and taught by Virginia Tech professors. ASC members pay $695. The cost for nonmembers is $1,095. Information at (301) 986-9700.
